In which we call each other names, attempt to sing in harmony, take many pictures, and meet a smoof

This is a true and faithful account of the journey that seven souls took in a van over thirty-two hundred miles to Phoenix and back.
The journey was an awesome experience - my soul was renewed, my heart refreshed, my mind strengthened.
I shall now endeavor to chronicle each day individually so that I can remember as many of the myriads of things we did as I can - I would hate to forget to mention something as important as, like, Ivan's pup, for example! - with as many snapshots and as few words as possible.
So, without further adieu, Prepare to Laugh.
March 13, Saturday.
The Zocket's (a fictional name for this entry:) driveway upon departure.
Isaac upon departure. . . I think he's having a smoof moment=)
The Smoof Suit
After running through Costco (where we had gallons of fun walking around and smiling at everyone), we finally cruised out of town and hit fourth of july pass.  Huzza!!!  The trip has begun!
Beautiful lake Coeur d' Alene
Snow on the pass~
We played word games and sang hymns.
We assigned everyone nicknames.
We snorted and giggled.
There was a solar pitch of scarcely-constrained excitement vibrating through the van - we're finally on our way!
On to Montana to pick up Miss Heather, the Zocket's friend
I love Montana. . . The colors are so rustic and grand
Emily and Heather - aka Blowzy-Dwinkle and Likeum. . . more on the likeum part later;)
Mrs. Pocket;-)
While at a rest stop somewhere in the Middle of Montana, I was inspired to pose Lewis-and-Clark style atop the picnic table.  The idea caught on. . .
. . . In spite of the frigid and frosty gale which whipped around us
"Ahoy! Cast your weary eyes upon yonder rest-stop bathrooms!"
"'Tis a beautiful sight!"
"I see it, too!"
"Like, where?"
"These girls are crazy...!"
We stopped at Subway for supper, where the game of Like was created.  Whenever the word "like" is uttered, the listeners are to give a short, piercing whistle.  Though, in truth, I for one grew tired of whistling after a couple of hundred miles and a bewildering montage of "likes" later - some people like their words, I guess. . . ;)
Ahhh yes.  This is in Salt Lake City at approx. 12:00 A.M.  Nothin' like hot fudge sundaes all around to perk up a van load of weary folks;)
They look like this afterwards. . .
. . . Then this
This -
And this.
I hope this glimpse into the dark secrets of the doings of seven road-fevered travelers didn't disturb you too badly - this log is not for the faint of heart!
Unprecedented amounts of snow encountered in bare feet, the stunning plateaus and arches of southern Utah, and bloody toes coming up next!
Y'all come back now, ya hear?

Hey Kellie!!
Looks like you had tons of fun. :) Road trips always lend themselves to fun and foolish pictures. :)
I think that trips are when most of our 'blackmail' pictures and movies are taken. :)

Hello, Sarah!
Yep, we had a wonderful trip.  One of these days I'll attempt to post the rest of it. . . ;)  There are a whole montage of crazy pictures, you'd better believe=)
Hmmm, we did get a few snapshots that fit that description quite nicely!
It's good to hear from you!  I really need to sit down and write you one of these days - I'll go put that on my list right now, and it shall stare disapprovingly at me until the deed is done.
Thanks again for stopping by!
